Causeway & onto the mainland, Saturday

Romeo fidgeted slightly with his jacket as he waited at the causeway. It was a cool day, but he hoped the sunny weather would hold as they headed to the mainland and to Fécamp for shopping.

[OOC: For a few, everything after the first thread NFB due to distance. And yes, I am OCDing this for, like, three characters. I may be insane.]

It was a weekend, and Dōjima was actually awake and out of bed before noon. This could, perhaps, be counted as a minor miracle.

"Ohaiyo, minna-san!" she chirped happily. "Let's get this party started, ne?"

Rome grinned at her broadly. "We're both awake and ready to leave on time," he pointed out. "This calls for a celebration indeed."

She hummed happily and tossed her arms around his neck, going up on tip-toe to plant a kiss on his nose. "Hai! We shall have a grand adventure, and perhaps we will find a nice cafe at the end of it all for our celebration dinner."

Andrew showed up, determined to have a good time shopping.

"Bonjour," Romeo returned. "I'm glad you could come along. We can compare notes on how things have changed."

"I have high hopes that nothing is going to be the same," Andrew replied. Even though there was one dusty old book store he was kind of hoping was still there.

"And I'm going to steer clear of the unpasteurized cheese."

"Viva-ing France!" Dōjima replied enthusiastically, butchering it slightly. "Ano, I'll have to have you boys help me, I do not speak any French at all."

"Viva la France!" Rikku said, waving cheerily. "I'd say something French here, I don't know much French. Barely any. I looked up a couple of phrases we might need, like 'how much is that' and 'where is the hospital' and 'it was an accident, Mr. Policeman,' but I'm probably pronouncing them wrong."

"Oooooooooh," Rikku said, bouncing on her toes. "France. This is gonna be nifty. Can you believe I didn't check it out last weekend? Guess I was busy being a pony."

She was in a much better mood, thanks to her chat in the Preserve with Reno and some meditating on the awesomeness of her cousin Yuna. Still worrying, but trying hard not to, dang it.

"So you didn't clip-clop off to explore France as a horse?" Romeo asked. "Sounds like a lost opportunity. But I'm so glad you could come as a person, since I would have missed you last week anyhow"

Dōjima looked over at Rikku and grinned. "I heard about the ponies, but I half-thought Red was pulling my leg. He already had me convinced I was hearing voices, earlier."

Oh, Rikku had money, and she had forgotten to do the touristy kind of shopping in Greece, where you get all those little mementos and souvenirs and things for all sorts of people, just because. And some for yourself, too.

Well, she thought they'd have longer in Greece, and all.

"What do you think?" Rikku asked, pulling a t-shirt out and posing dramatically. "Is it me?"

Dōjima smirked slightly as she inspected two shirts. "Hai! It is very cute, and will look flattering on you," she answered. "Hey! Boys! Someone tell me what these say!"

Dōjima was practically bouncing. "This is the best ever," she said, peering at one of the exhibits. "Can we forcibly relocate them on to the island? Please?"

He nuzzled her neck. "I like the boat showing how chocolate gets across the seas."
