In honor of the double occasion of Valentine's Day and his two-year anniversary, Romeo had tried to find the absolute best restaurant in Tokyo.

He'd quickly given up on that, and had settled for a reservation for a very good room at a very nice hotel. The in-room table was covered in room service trays, and there were roses in every possible nook.

Never let it be said that Romeo didn't do romantic holidays with a vengeance.

He checked his suit in the mirror one last time and sat to wait for Yurika.

Yurika Dojima	Yurika, for her part, had put on her favorite blue dress and followed the directions Romeo had left in the apartment to the Four Seasons, and this particular room. She raised her hand to knock on the door, grinning slightly and wondering what she was going to find
Romeo Montague	She found a koibito who pulled her into the room as if he'd die if she waited on the stoop another moment, even though they'd seen each other not twelve hours before. "Happy Valentine's Day, my love."
Yurika Dojima	"Hai, Happy Valentine's Day," she agreed, looping her arms around his neck for a kiss. "Have you been plotting behind my back, koibito?"
Romeo Montague	"Always," Romeo said, kissing her and trying to guide them toward the table. "What would life be if I didn't try to surprise you once in a while?"
Yurika Dojima	"Well, you surprised this Hunter, so color me impressed," she replied, letting him lead her towards the table. "Life would be very, very boring without you around."
Romeo Montague	Romeo flushed with pleasure, but: "I know you," he said lightly. "You'd work and go to parties and torment Michael. Whereas without you, I might be on a beach in Verona, cursing my name."
Yurika Dojima	"Probably," she admitted, giving his hand a squeeze. "But then it would be nothing but work, and I'd end up some bitter old lady with her cat, constantly eating ramen and reading case files for bedtime stories." "Oh. Wait. That is still me. Well, the cat, the ramen, and case files, anyway."
Romeo Montague	Romeo pondered that as he uncorked the champagne. "It all but sounds as if the one difference would be that, when you go to bed, someone is there waiting for you."
Yurika Dojima	"Not bitter or old!" Yurika protested, sticking her tongue out at him. Mmmm...champagne. She wasn't going to protest too loudly; instead she'd slide the glasses over to him, leaning over just a bit more than strictly necessary.
Romeo Montague	The leaning over distracted Romeo -- as was no doubt the intention -- and the glasses ended up very full before Romeo nudged one back toward her. "Not bitter or old," he agreed. "Though you will have a birthday soon..."
Yurika Dojima	"I'm such the scandalous older woman," she joked, raising her glass in a toast to him. "I'll be old and going senile a whole half-year before you!"
Romeo Montague	"Seven months," he pointed out lovingly, raising his own glass. "What are we toasting?"
Yurika Dojima	"That I have a clever koibito that manages to pry me away from work and out for a nice night, of course," Yurika teased. Seriously. Without Romeo, she would have turned into the all-work-no-play version of Jen from when they first started rooming together. Keeping up a cover didn't count as 'play' when you didn't have anyone to enjoy the parties or nightlife with.
Romeo Montague	"I shall drink to that, then," Romeo said, and promptly downed a large sip of champagne. "And speaking of the night before us .... we have dinner, a bath, we could call up music or a movie. 'Tis my lady's choice."
Yurika Dojima	"Dinner and some music?" she suggested, sipping her own drink. "Almost like our first date, ne? Only indoors instead of on the roof of a dormitory."
Romeo Montague	Romeo went over to turn on the stereo, and soft Baroque music filled the air. "And I'm not nervous you'll turn me down at the end of the night."
Yurika Dojima	"So sure of getting kisses tonight, are we?" Yurika laughed. "Maybe I'll play hard to get, ne?"
Romeo Montague	Romeo paused in lifting the covers off their meals (lobster tails, with some green vegetables and rice) to smirk at her. "Or it might be that I will."
Yurika Dojima	Lobster! Yurika let out a rather girlish squeal before tossing her arms around him again, awkward as it was with him holding the covers. "Oh, I think you will," she agreed, practically hanging on his shoulder to look at the food. "Nice work, aijin."
Romeo Montague	"Valentine's Day doesn't come often," Romeo said, squirming to get closer. "My princess deserved a good one."
Yurika Dojima	"You can spoil this princess anytime," she promised, nuzzling at his neck. "But how do I repay my prince?" ...hopefully by starting with eating dinner, because Yurika was famished and he'd gotten lobster. She had the best boyfriend ever.
Romeo Montague	He turned his head to try to kiss her. "That," he said, "I shall let thee find the right path on, after we've dined." Best girlfriend ever.
Yurika Dojima	Kisses were a good start to rewarding him, and Yurika bestowed more than a few before moving to take her seat. She didn't want all his hard work to go to waste, after all. "So tonight's my very own 'Chose Your Own Adventure' book?" she teased. "Do I get to read it a few times, to find my favorite ending?"
Romeo Montague	"I think I can help you find many happy endings," Romeo laughed softly as he took his own seat.
Yurika Dojima	"Now that's an offer I can't pass up," she laughed, topping off both their champagne glasses. "And I might need the assistance; you know my English reading skills go downhill after a few drinks." Not true, and Romeo knew it, but happy endings that were found together were the most fun.
