Roof, Tuesday Evening
Romeo Montague lit a final candle, moved it ever so slightly, and grinned at his handiwork. A card table made a fine place to dine on takeout Chinese food, if it was on a roof and bedecked with a tablecloth and candles, and a small rug could serve as a dance floor. And for his orchestra, he had iTunes playing a stream of slow, jazzy music.
He considered the problem of invaders from the door to the roof, and, regretfully, decided he couldn't lock or block it. But he could have a sign at the ready to post as soon as Yurika arrived.
[OOC: For one, though the door is not locked. Up early for slowplay.]

Now, she stuck her head through the doorway to the roof, grinning as she glanced around. "Ohaiyo! I'm looking for a Romeo?"

"It is good my name is unusual here, or there might be some lingering doubt."

"Even if your name was common here, to find you on the roof would be a good indicator that you were the one I was seeking, yes?" She wandered over to the edge, peering down at the scene below them. "Sugoi! So high! People look like ants!"
no subject
"What does sugoi mean?"

"Sooooo....show me my surprise!" she said, moving away from the ledge and darting out to grab for his hand. "I've been waiting alllllll week! Okay, since the dance, but still!"
no subject
"I feel like I should have blindfolded you to make you wait longer yet," he admitted. "But it is here." He gestured first to the meal -- just takeout Chinese food, but he had decanted it from its serving dishes so it looked a little prettier -- and then to the rug. "Dinner and a place to dance, in whatever order m'lady wishes."

The deafening squeal of joy and pouncing hug might give him some clue of how much she likes it.

Not that he wanted to let go of her and turn it up.

"At least we have time, hours and hours before then." He shifted his hands slightly to hold her closer.

But he was still dancing.

It was unclear if she meant the food or the dancing.

He glanced over at the table. "Should we eat now?"

He pulled out Yurika's seat. "And please don't tell me you're a vegetarian."

He grinned. "I am so glad you are with me on this."

And, in a flash, he was out of his seat (mouthful of shrimp swallowed), and kneeling next to Yurika. He put a hand on her cheek and leaned in for a kiss.

The itty bitty voice in the back of her head hollering that this was a 'bad plan' was very quickly and firmly squashed.

He brought a hand to her back and kept kissing her. Definitely a good date.

This was a wonderful date.
