Room 502, Monday Morning, 3/16

The weekend had been kind to young master Montague. There had been mud fights and muffins and even two birthday parties. And, when it got quite terribly late -- 9 o'clock at least -- he drifted back to his room with Yurika by the hand. They watched cartoons until they fell asleep on the bed like a pair of puppies, TV still droning away.

When Romeo first woke up on Monday, it took him a moment to feel as if anything beyond gratitude to be his proper size again, followed by annoyance at the grit of mud behind his ears and in other places his five-year-old self had forgotten to wash. He'd seen that shock of blonde hair in the morning many times.

Then he realized he hadn't so much, lately. Drawing away to get a better look, he held his breath. He was going to savor these moments until she (perhaps inevitably, he thought) made her excuses and left him alone again -- or at least tried to.

"You were going to..." Yurika trailed off, blinking at him before an evil grin spread across her face. "You know, most boys resort to bribery first. Unless the offer of 'making me agree' was a form of bribe."

"How did you think I would do it?" Romeo asked, grin going equally evil. "I don't think you'd like me much if I tied you up and left you."

"You could have planned a nefarious tickle-torture," she pointed out. "Or something equally dastardly!"

Romeo feigned an injured look, which was hard to do when his hand was snaking up under her pajama top. "You think I'm the type to torture you with tickling, if I have you at my mercy?"

Yurika favored him with a skeptical look. "You've got a hand under my shirt and you're still trying to play innocent," she replied dryly. "I don't put anything past you and your devious ways."

"I thought you liked my devious ways," Romeo pointed out. "Do you want me to keep my hands to myself?"

It was staying where it was for now, flat against her stomach.

"Did I say that? I didn't say that. I said I don't underestimate your deviousness," Yurika answered, leaning back on the pillows and smirking. "Maybe I should say no, just to see what you'd do."

It still hurt. It was probably always going to hurt, at least a bit, but this was familiar and wanted, and much better than feeling sorry for herself.

"I think you should definitely" -- and now Romeo lifted the top slightly and bent his head to kiss her stomach -- "definitely say no, then, in the name of scientific inquiry."

They probably had more to talk about. There was always more to talk about, and he knew how much he had hurt her. But right now, it was easy to try to kiss it away.

Maybe kisses would prove better bandages than those pretty words she was still afraid to trust completely.

Yurika trailed her fingers through his hair. "I suppose, for the sake of inquiry," she mused, trailing off enticingly as she considered him. "Alright, then."

"No."

Romeo loved that answer. Something like gratitude flashed through his lifted eyes. "All right, then," he echoed.

He was going to take his time just kissing the plains of her stomach, getting reacquainted with each centimeter of her skin as his hands pressed against the outside of her top.

Yurika sighed and let her fingers trail over his shoulders and back, watching him from under lowered lashes as she enjoyed the attention. He could just kiss her like this all day, and she'd most likely be happy.

It was a lucky thing Romeo was going to stay where he was, then. He could live there.

He started deliberately unbuttoning her pajama top from the bottom, going one button at a time and kissing the freshly exposed skin. The game, he had decided, was to go as slowly as he could.

Oh, she was going to enjoy this, Yurika could tell. The only question was which one of them was going to break first.

She shifted slightly under his affections, making a pleased humming-sound as she traced designs down along his shoulder blades with just the tip of her fingernails. Two could play at teasing.

Romeo purred at the touch and undid another button, exposing the bottoms of her breasts. He traced his tongue along the curve of one, bringing his tongue close but not quite to the nipple.

He wouldn't break. Not first.

Yurika drew a breath in sharply, and shifted to run her foot along the inside of his leg.

"Answer is still no," she informed him gravely. "Sorry."

"I think that's one no I don't mind hearing," Romeo said, raising his head to move his lips away.

And then, finally, he opened the very last button, and let his hands trail down her sides as he tried to tug the shirt over her shoulders. "So beautiful," he breathed.

Yurika arched her back and moved her arms to assist in shirt removal. If that gave him an even better view, well, that was fine with her.

"Hai," she answered, running a hand along his neck and down his chest as far as she could reach. "Kirei."

"Sugoi kirei," Romeo agreed, shivering a little at her touch. He tilted his head down, pressing into a deep kiss on her lips as his feet ran along her legs.

Kissing was a plan Yurika could participate in wholeheartedly. She tangled her fingers in his hair to tug him even closer as she returned it passionately, trying to tell him all the words she'd been bottling up for the last week.

Hi. I missed you. I still love you. Kiss me more?

Yes. Yes. yesyesyesyesandyes some more.

Romeo gave himself to the kiss, sighing softly at the tug of her fingers in his hair. His own hands were still darting over her chest and stomach as if he couldn't believe his luck in getting to touch them, but would never stop.

"I'm yours,' he told her, and kissed her again, to seal it.

"You still haven't convinced me," she gasped between kisses. "What if I keep saying no?"

"I would have no choice but to keep trying to convince you." And then Romeo hesitated, propping his weight on his hands. "What would you say if it was a no that meant no, and not a no that meant to keep going?"

She thought for a second before leaning in to nuzzle his neck and whisper something in his ear and giggle.

"Not that it matters," she said, nipping at his ear before kissing her way down his neck. "Because you aren't going to hear it."

He could have all the 'no' and 'yes' from her that he wanted, if he was willing to put some effort into it.

Romeo's grin broadened, which he didn't think possible, and he smiled a smile as bright as the sun. "I'll do my best not to make you say it," he said in a voice thick with desire.

Neck kisses were fantastic; he kept his head where it was so he could keep enjoying it and nipped slightly, arfully, along her own jawline. His hands were still busy, though one was now dipping along the curve of her waist, hovering on the curve of her hip where it rose out of her pajama pants.

Yurika pressed back against his hands, practically purring with approval as she lavished attentive kisses on him, working her way back up to tease at his ear.

Her own hands slid along his ribs, as if she could drink him up through touching.
