Causeway & onto the mainland, Saturday

Romeo fidgeted slightly with his jacket as he waited at the causeway. It was a cool day, but he hoped the sunny weather would hold as they headed to the mainland and to Fécamp for shopping.

[OOC: For a few, everything after the first thread NFB due to distance. And yes, I am OCDing this for, like, three characters. I may be insane.]

"Well, you do like girls," she mused, stepping back to watch him with an impish look on her face. "Should the day come that all the boys turn into girls, then it would be true."

"I suppose we should buy it for you, just in case."

"We have to work on that," Romeo suggested, leaning in to mumble into her ear.

Andrew and Rikku didn't exactly need to hear this, no.

"You say that as though I should object," Romeo said. "Though, with four girls and two boys, and one of them an alien, the numbers would be a bit off without me in the cabin."

"Oh. Yeah. Sure," Andrew replied, nodding. They kept most of the books he was interested in locked away anyway. Besides, Romeo probably wouldn't care if he was buying some ancient tome on demonology anyway.

She ducked her head slightly to hide the smirk as she bit her lip. "I'm sure that can be arranged," she murmured quietly. "You just tell me when and where."

She could always ask Rikku or Jen to take Alea for the night, if needed.

"I'm sure the boys would manage," she joked, rolling her eyes. "Although your willingness to sacrifice your own safety to help them is duly noted."

"Exactly. One needs to have a few shirts around for just such emergencies," Romeo said, adding the shirt to the pile in his arms.

"Don't worry," Andrew replied with a grin, "my accent might be a little off, but I'm pretty sure I know enough to get by, my lady. It shall be a glorious day of shopping and exploration."

Dōjima blinked, and a large grin spread across her face. "Oooohhh...I like you. I'm keeping you," she announced, grabbing for his arm. "You say the nicest, bestest things."

"One always wishes to be noble in the line of duty."

"We could," Romeo suggested, "get Rikku to walk Andrew back to camp, and find a hotel in town. If your schedule would permit."

"I suppose I'd be obligated to help with the 'truth in advertising' bit," she said solemnly. "I wouldn't want any other girls kissing you, unless I got first chance."

Andrew blinked a few times himself. "And I don't know about you," he continued, "but I plan on over-eating and buying all kinds of stuff I don't need." After this past week, a little retail therapy would do him some good.

"I don't have any other plans this weekend," Yurika answered, moving in for a kiss. "Shall I pull Rikku aside, and see if she'd be willing? I would hate to ruin any plans she might have for this evening."

"Pastries," she said seriously, nodding in agreement. "Rich, yummy pastries, and chocolates, and an entire bottle of wine. Not to mention all the tacky presents for other people that I can carry."

He kissed her lightly. "We certainly shouldn't ruin her plans, but if she is free, I would like that immensely."

"Tacky presents are a must," he agreed. "I mean, what good is it seeing the country if you can't buy little miniature knickknacks of all the touristy places, right?"

"I need a mini of whatever that French version of the Tokyo Tower is," Dōjima replied. "I want to make a wee little city, and then let my cat stomp around it. It will be like every Godzilla movie ever made, only better."

Dōjima looked over at Rikku and grinned. "I heard about the ponies, but I half-thought Red was pulling my leg. He already had me convinced I was hearing voices, earlier."

"Riiiiight," Dōjima drawled, poking at his arm before moving off to look at the next display. "Luckily, you've got more than enough honor and nobility for both of us."

"So if you reject me as a girl, I can go for others," Romeo nodded. "It's good we're setting these limits."

[OOC: I completely lost this ping.]

Dōjima just grinned. "Far be it from me to deny you the chance to experiment like that," she teased, "but I wouldn't count on rejection, if I were you."

Romeo laughed and took her hand. "Somehow changing my gender is seeming more appealing."

"I'll ask," Yurika agreed quietly. "I think I'd like that, too."

"I hope not," Yurika said dryly, squeezing his hand. "I rather like you boy-shaped, if you don't mind. I'd rather keep you this way."
